Sain
Mobile personal AI nutrition assistant: provides a meal plan, macro-based recipes with step-by-step instructions, grocery lists.
Sain is a mobile wellness ecosystem with an AI assistant that brings nutrition, movement, sleep and mind together in one app: meal plans and macro-based recipes, food recognition from a photo, workouts, meditations and breathing practices.
As CPO + CDO, I led product and design in a team of 12 – design, development, ML, QA, SMM, B2B sales and science. The founder made the final calls; my job was to prepare decisions, run product discussions, argue the options, record agreements and make sure they made it to release.
Product (CPO):
shaped the product vision and proposed feature priorities based on OKRs and the roadmap;
set up the team rhythm: weekly planning across all departments, mid-week status reports and end-of-week retros;
built a feature pipeline – discussion → development estimate → resources → Epic – and linked design and development tasks to Epics, so progress on every feature was visible in one place;
introduced a “no GitHub issue – no task” rule for development;
ran App Store releases: builds, review notes, What’s New, screenshots, manual publishing and campaign links for marketing attribution.
Design (CDO):
owned the design ecosystem and the SDS design system library connected to the main app file;
kept the interface consistent and prepared annotated handoff for development – flows, interactions, edge cases;
organized the Figma structure: approved Hi-Fi designs kept separate from concepts, research, media and presentations;
launched a Design Updates channel so the whole team could see design system changes and features handed to development;
set up the content pipeline: briefs for covers, sounds and images, review, and handoff of media packs and databases to developers.
Shipped features include Workouts in the Movement section, Breathing Practices in the Mind section, AI assistant tips and improved food recognition from photos.
In March 2026, I handed the role over with a detailed responsibilities document.
